Class: Unique Sheets of Handmade Paper or Paper Making, the Next Level with Bob Rhoades

Class Description:
This class will teach students how to make unique sheets of handmade paper from Mulberry bark(kozo ). The process of growing, harvesting, cooking, cleaning, and beating will be discussed. You will also work with recycled paper fibers from good quality paper. The class will emphasize the many strategies for producing one-of-a-kind sheets with inclusions, lace paper techniques, drawing pulp, and pulp coloring. Students may wish to bring dried flower petals, small leaves, or bits of yarn or string for inclusions.
